Per Ardua Associates hosted its annual CEO dinner last month

Not surprisingly, Brexit took centre stage with general agreement that whilst the General Election has thrown up unhelpful uncertainty, it will likely lead to a ‘softer’ Brexit which was positive for business. The implications for retention of top talent, particularly non UK nationals, was a concern to many of those present. A government collapse before the full five year term was considered by all to be very likely. All those present felt that the engagement of the younger generation and first time voters in the General Election was a positive development with widespread implications for all political parties.

In summary, attendees want a clear plan from Government to enable them to get on with running their businesses but recognise we are in for an uncertain few years.
